Koi JLPT is an offline iOS / iPadOS flashcard app for learning Japanese, covering JLPT levels N5–N1. It is the companion app to NihongoHover on macOS — the same relationship GOAT HSK has to Zhongwen Hover. The app is currently in App Store review and will be available soon. This page is the official support channel.

When will Koi JLPT be released?

Does Koi JLPT sync with NihongoHover?
Yes — just like GOAT HSK with Zhongwen Hover. Send your deck to your iPhone, or run a full two-way sync of cards, FSRS schedule and review history with NihongoHover on your Mac.
Does the app need an internet connection?
No. All vocabulary, audio (Apple's built-in TTS), and reading content are bundled in the app. It works fully offline.
Which JLPT levels are covered?
Vocabulary for all five levels, N5 through N1, with readings, example sentences and English glosses.
Does my progress sync between iPhone and iPad?
Not automatically. Progress is stored locally on each device. You can move your data between devices manually with the built-in backup/restore file.
Are there subscriptions or in-app purchases?
No. Koi JLPT is a single one-time purchase. No ads, no subscriptions, no tracking.
How do I request a refund?
Refunds are handled by Apple. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple ID, find the Koi JLPT purchase, and choose "Request a refund."
What data does the app collect about me?
