GOAT HSK is an offline iOS / iPadOS app for learning HSK 2021 vocabulary. It is designed to work without an account, without tracking, and without sending your data to any server.
None. GOAT HSK does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data.
All study data — flashcard progress, spaced-repetition state, reading progress,
bookmarks, daily-goal settings, pet name, and reminder preferences — is stored
locally on your device using Apple's standard storage APIs
(UserDefaults and SwiftData). It never leaves the device.
You can erase your study progress at any time from Settings → Reset progress inside the app, or by deleting the app.
GOAT HSK does not currently use iCloud or any cloud sync. If a future update adds optional iCloud sync, this policy will be updated and the feature will be off by default.
If you enable the daily reminder in Settings, GOAT HSK schedules a local notification on your device at the time you choose. Notifications are generated entirely on-device — no notification server is contacted, and the reminder content is not sent anywhere.
Mandarin audio is generated on-device by Apple's built-in
AVSpeechSynthesizer. No audio request is sent to any server.
GOAT HSK is a one-time paid purchase. There are no in-app purchases, subscriptions, or advertisements.
Because GOAT HSK collects no personal data of any kind, it is safe for users of all ages. The app does not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new "Last updated" date.
